This is my favorite movie/book.
I have some movies I like a little more, and some books I like at least as much, but as a combo, this is it.
When I set out to write Sugarbeet Falls Volume 2 – The Duel, I wanted to find a way to keep people turning the page like I did with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The idea of characters falling out one by one, and some of them doing it in unexpected ways, was the basis by which the entire manuscript grew and evolved.
It was fun to invent characters who readers would either love or hate seeing bounced from the competition. The competitions themselves were fun too. I considered making up some outlandish battles for the characters, but instead I did some research and chose actual competitions.
