Sometimes when I am writing I hit a snag. I don’t really know to what I attribute it, but its not writers’ block. I just get tired of writing a story for a while. I feel like I get to a point where I just want to finish and I don’t enjoy the process as much.
I hit that point toward the end of Sugarbeet Falls Volume 3 a while ago. This time, instead of stressni9g about it, I started messing with a new idea. I’m pretty excited to announce I have started a kid’s chapter book called Grace Sings!. I’m actually writing it in conjunction with my seven year old daughter Haven. She’s helping with some of the story.
Big Sugarbeet fans might remember the name Grace. That’s the name of Xander’s mom who is no longer with us. When Pops explains the magic books to Xander, he tells him the books were song books to his mom. See where I’m going? Grace Sings!
I’ll keep you posted on the progress, but I think it will be a lot of fun. The helpful BAF characters aren’t superheroes, but they are equally fun so far. Dr. Cantar is her first friend, she is a super short doctor who is way to short for her lab coat.
Stay tuned!
