Writing Camp!

This is Aurora Rainfall.  She is a hero drawn for me by a student from one of my school visits.  I’m not sure of her specific super powers, but she appears to have a pink unicorn horn which has to do some pretty amazing stuff.

The creativity I have seen from kids of all ages throughout the last school year has been amazing.  Summer is almost here, so my school visits will be on hiatus for a bit, but I don’t want to stop working with kids and enjoying the inspiration they give me every time I talk to them.

That’s why I decided to put on a writing camp.  A week of fun, games, and writing for elementary kids.

I have been researching writing camps that are held throughout the country, and they look like a blast.  We will start slow, and just do three hours a day to make sure we don’t get worn out.   Even in that time however, we have so many fun activities to enjoy.  From writing prompts, to improv, to team games and more, its going to be a great week.

I hope I get some kids to come and give it a try!
