Summer Reading Club

Two things over the weekend inspired me to take a bit of action.

This first, I reread Sugarbeet Falls Volume 1.  Once again I enjoyed it while cringing slightly at things I would change.  Reading the book wasn’t the inspiration though.  Inspiration came when I took my daughter to the park and saw this:

While I have heard of littlefreelibrary.org, I had never seen or used one.  As you can see, I quickly added a copy of my book, and my daughter grabbed a Tinkerbell story in return which she loved.

Later that evening, we had a great visit with family and friends that culminated in a beautiful campfire.

What a great place to read!

The day made me want to suggest a summer reading club, a place for kids and adults who like middle grade fiction like Sugarbeet Falls can come together through this page, read, discuss, and maybe even illustrate a bit.

I’m doing it with or without ya, but if you’re interested, email me at sugarbeetfalls@gmail.com or comment below and we can get started soon.

Have a great week!
