Schools This Fall

Hello, Hello!

I’m getting excited.  It’s time to start booking school visits for the fall!

I love going to schools, meeting kids and teachers, and spreading ideas on kindness and creativity.  At each school, we talk about writing and creativity through crazy superheroes with crazy super powers.

They kind of look like these characters, but they are always so creative and different.  I spoke at a school last year that had a hero who was such a great basketball player that he literally broke the ankles of defenders (bad guys) when he made moves to get around them.  That’s just one of many ideas students have come up with that crack me up.  Also, we seem to be moving far enough away from the original release of Frozen to allow heroes without ice powers.

My dream is two-fold.  Selfishly, I’d like to get my book in the hands of as many young readers as humanly possible.  I want kids to be roaming the streets in Bathroom Manager costumes on Halloween.  Equally as important however, I want to be a voice for kindness.  I want kids to learn the joy of treating each other the right way.  I truly feel our country is becoming so divisive that any voice of reason is incredibly important.  I want to be one of those voices.

Maybe I’m a snowflake.

I’d really love to be a best-selling snowflake.
